Does insurance cover pelvic floor physical therapy at Revelle?

Revelle is an out-of-network provider, which lets us deliver true 1:1 hour-long visits with a Doctor of Physical Therapy — not what most in-network practices can offer. Many patients receive partial or even full reimbursement from their insurance through their out-of-network benefits, depending on their plan. We make it easy by providing detailed superbills after every visit.

What is a superbill?

A superbill is a detailed receipt with the diagnosis and treatment codes your insurance needs to process out-of-network reimbursement. We provide one after every visit — you submit it directly to your insurance company.

How do I check my out-of-network benefits?

Accepted Answer

Call the member services number on your insurance card and ask: (1) Do I have out-of-network physical therapy benefits? (2) What is my OON deductible and how much have I met? (3) What percentage do you reimburse after the deductible? (4) Do I need a doctor's referral? We can email you a checklist if helpful.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Yes — pelvic floor physical therapy is an eligible HSA/FSA expense. We accept HSA and FSA cards directly at checkout.

Why don't you take insurance directly?

Accepted Answer

Insurance contracts often require 15–30 minute visits, double-booked appointments, and limited treatment time. We chose to stay out-of-network so every patient gets a full hour, 1:1, with a doctor of physical therapy. It's the model that gets you better, faster.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes — please ask at your first visit and we'll work with you. We never want cost to be the reason someone doesn't get the care they need.

Do you accept Medicare?

Accepted Answer

Currently, no. Medicare does not allow out-of-network reimbursement, so we're unable to see Medicare-primary patients.
